Mizzou dominates Buffalo in second consecutive shutout to open season

After two weeks of football, the Missouri Tigers have yet to allow any points, a remarkable feat, and one that hasn't been accomplished since 1935. It was all Tigers in their 31-0 victory over the Buffalo Bulls on Saturday evening.
Despite a slow offensive start, things picked up in the second quarter as Missouri took control of the game. With a pair of 3-yard rushing touchdowns, an interception by Marvin Burks, and a 31-yard rushing touchdown by Brady Cook, Missouri put the game to bed by halftime, leading 24-0 at the break.
Defensively, it was a team effort once again, with no player recording more than 6 tackles. The Tigers were flying around the field, constantly pressuring the Bulls' quarterback C.J. Ogbonna, who finished the game 6-20 for 55 yards and an interception.
After the game, Coach Drinkwitz revealed that Eddie Kelly's mother tragically passed away on Wednesday, just days after attending the opener in Columbia last week. The team rallied around Eddie, with Drinkwitz stating, "We all witnessed something special tonight."
Missouri entered the game as 33-point favorites, according to DraftKings, and they delivered. A late rushing touchdown from Jamal Roberts sealed the 38-0 victory, sending Tigers fans home happy.
The Tigers will be back in action next Saturday morning, kicking off at 11:45 against Boston College. This game could be Missouri's first real test, as the Eagles started the season 2-0 after a dominant 56-0 victory over Duquesne on Saturday.
