By Zach Sweet
Missouri will kick off their 2024 campaign in just under three weeks, and excitement is building in Columbia. The program is keeping its fans engaged, with the football team set to host an open practice on Faurot Field next Saturday evening.
Gates will open at 6:00 PM, with the open practice running from 7:00 to 8:30 PM. Immediately following the practice, fans will be invited onto Faurot Field for a viewing of the movie "Zootopia." This event will also give fans the opportunity to experience the stadium’s new video board firsthand.
If you're not as interested in the screening or practice, there's still plenty to enjoy. The north concourse will feature yard games, inflatables, face painting, and more. Concessions will also be open on the north concourse, thus ensuring there will be something for everyone to enjoy.
This event has been a success in years past, and following an 11-2 season, an even bigger turnout is expected this year. Missouri has a dedicated fan base, and this event consistently draws a strong crowd. Tickets have been flying off the shelves as anticipation continues to build each day.
The open practice will give fans their first opportunity to see the new team compete together, featuring a mix of established stars like Luther Burden and Brady Cook, alongside promising true freshmen like Williams Nwaneri and Courtney Crutchfield. Fans will also get their first look at talented new transfers, including Cayden Green, Toriano Pride, Marcus Carroll, and many others.
Missouri is going to be a treat to watch this fall, and Fan Night will give loyal supporters a first look at what to expect. This event is all about the fans, offering a chance to interact with the passionate fan base that shows up week in and week out. Missouri's football program does a fantastic job of showing their appreciation for fans with this annual event.
