With SEC Media Days coming to a close on Thursday evening, the media voted on their preseason All-SEC teams. Any member of the press who was in attendance at the event had access to submit a ballot. The media voted on their preseason All-SEC teams, along with predicted standings for the upcoming season.

To the shock of nobody, the Missouri Tigers were overlooked once again. The media predicted Mizzou football to finish 6th in the SEC. And somehow the bigger crime committed was only selecting one Tigers player for the preseason All-SEC teams. Luther Burden was the lone representative for Mizzou, which felt like a sign of blatant disrespect to the program.

Missouri will continue using all the disrespect as additional motivation. They'll embrace the motto "something to prove," once again in 2024. Thankfully the media still got one thing right in Luther Burden being selected for the All-SEC first team.

In his sophomore campaign, Burden led his team in yards (1,212), catches (86), and touchdowns (9). He finished the season earning first team All-SEC, and second team All-American honors, awarded by the associated press. Burden will look to improve on that outstanding season in 2024.

Burden and the Missouri Tigers are coming off an 11 win season, where they ended on a high note defeating Ohio State in the Cotton Bowl. Despite the media's preseason polls, the program is in their best position in over a decade. Mizzou has serious college football playoff aspirations in 2024, and it all starts with their receiver wearing number three.
