As Missouri prepare for its matchup against Texas A&M on Saturday, they received notice of the game time for a non-conference contest against Massachusetts, scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 12.

It was announced that the game will air on ESPN2 at 11 a.m. CT, giving Mizzou yet another nationally televised contest.

UMass is off to a slow start with a 1-4 record through its first five games.

In Week 3, the Minutemen faced Buffalo on the road, losing 34-3. Buffalo is a common opponent between Mizzou and UMass; and when the Bulls traveled to Columbia, the Tigers picked up a dominant 38-0 victory.

The Minutemen are an FBS Independent, meaning they don't compete in a conference.

Mizzou is one of three SEC teams UMass is set to face in 2024. They'll travel to Mississippi State on Nov. 2, but their toughest challenge will be a road game against Georgia on Nov. 23.

The Tigers will aim to build on their early season momentum, starting 4-0 for the second consecutive year. However, before facing UMass, all eyes are on their massive matchup against Texas A&M this weekend.
