On Wednesday evening, the University of Missouri softball team secured an in-state commitment from Lindsay Ramsey. A versatile player with experience in every position on the field, Ramsey is best known for her work as a middle infielder. A native of Dearborn, Missouri, located just outside Kansas City, Ramsey's commitment is a significant addition to the team.

Ramsey initially committed to Ohio State last year before flipping to Mizzou. As a junior at North Platte High School, she played a pivotal role in leading her team to a 22-9 record, though they ultimately fell to Mid-Buchanan in the Class 2, District 7 Tournament.

In her junior season, Ramsey boasted a .389 batting average and a .460 on-base percentage, reaching base nearly half the time. Not only was she a consistent contact hitter, but the 5-foot-6 second baseman also demonstrated power, leading her team with 7 home runs. Her impressive performance at the plate sets her apart, which is an encouraging sign as she transitions from high school to college softball.

Ramsey is fundamentally sound at the plate, consistently putting pressure on her opponents. Last season, she led the team in hits, runs, stolen bases, and slugging percentage, leading to her best season thus far.

She aims to build on her impressive junior season and carry that momentum into the upcoming year. Ramsey is an incredibly talented ballplayer, and it will be exciting to watch her as a Tiger starting in 2025.

Missouri aims to continue building on a solid foundation after hosting a super-regional this past season. Head coach Larissa Anderson continues making significant strides and is beginning to create something special in Columbia, Missouri.
