Who is the newest 4-star recruit for Missouri football?
By Zach Sweet
With recruiting season beginning to pick up, Missouri has been on fire over the past couple of days. They have now picked up three four-star recruits in as many days. Lamont Rogers, an offensive tackle from Texas, joined Jayvan Boggs and Donovan Olugbode as the most recent commits in the 2025 recruiting class.
According to the on3 industry recruiting rankings, Rogers ranks as the 60th recruit in the class. He is considered a top-ten offensive lineman, as well as top-ten recruit from Texas in the 2025 recruiting class.
Missouri had to beat out some incredibly tough competition to win over Rogers. His final four schools included Missouri, Texas A&M, Texas, and Oklahoma. Rogers had a great visit to Columbia the weekend of May 31st, along with fellow Missouri commits Joshua Lewis (DE), and Dyllon Williams (S).
Lewis is a 6-foot-8, 305-pound prospect, who moves exceptionally well for his size. He becomes the third offensive line recruit in the 2025 class, joining Jack Lange and Henry Fenuku. All three of them have has nothing but praises for Missouri's offensive line coach, Brandon Jones.
When Lewis was asked about his commitment to Missouri, he had the following to say. "He (Jones) has a really good personality and a style I can definitely vibe with," This seems to be a common theme with top prospects committing to Missouri over the past calendar year.
According to 247Sports, Missouri now has the 14th best recruiting class in the country for 2025. There is still plenty of time left in this recruiting period, and the Tigers figure to add more talent in the coming weeks. Missouri's five-star 2025 quarterback commit, Matt Zollers, went straight to X following the commitment this morning, "Are we done yet??…."
It should be fun to watch this recruiting class continue to take shape. As for right now, Missouri continues making positive strides as a top-ten program in the new NIL-era of college football.
