The up and down season continued for the Tigers this weekend, as they were able to piece together their strongest conference win of the season, putting up nearly 50 points in a game versus Mississippi State.
Though the game started close, Mizzou showed that they were on another level than the Bulldogs were, and never truly let it get close, winning 49-27.
With that, Mizzou jumps to 7-3 overall, and evens their SEC Conference record, to 3-3 on the year, with three games to go, all within the conference.
Behind a light, 300-yard game from star runningback Ahmad Hardy, the Tigers saw domination for the first time in a minute, ending a slight losing streak, and bringing themselves back to a top-25 ranking, after spending two weeks unranked.
Mizzou jumped to No. 23 on the official AP Top-25, after not appearing last week.
In addition, the squad jumped three spots, to No. 21 on the official Coaches' Poll.
With a number of upsets this week, primarly around teams on the edge of a top-25 ranking, the Tigers were able to capatilize, and now see themselves ranked.
The next College Football Rankings will be revealed on Tuesday night, with Mizzou having a good chance to see themselves on there, after not last week.
The SEC again featured nine programs within the top-25 this week, with the Tigers being the lowest of all of them. No other programs outside of the top-25 received any votes this week.
Only Mizzou, Texas and Tennessee are ranked with three-losses this week, as slight SEC bias remains within voters.
The road stays tough as the Tigers travel to Norman, Oklahoma to play the now-No. 8 ranked Sooners next Saturday morning, as they hope to raise their ranking, and spoil some playoff hopes on the way.
