With football kick-off just right around the corner, programs are getting themselves set with last-second roster adjustements, and prepping for their respective week one matchups.

Whats also fun about the start of the season is the Coaches' Preseason teams, in which the conference's head coaches vote for the players they believe are the most deserving of recieving the high honor of being selected to be on the squad.

The Tigers were lucky enough to have three players appear on these rosters, two transfers and one starter from last year, with exactly one making each of three teams. Its a nice little nod of respect from coaches around the SEC, that is sure to motivate them for the season to come.

Cayden Green, who very recently moved over to right tackle from left guard, was Mizzou's representative to the first team.

He began his colleigate career in Norman, as a member of the Sooners, in the 2023-24 season. After 12 appearances and just five starts, Green transferred to Columbia.

Since then, hes had a serious impact on the team, but only as a left guard. As alluded to before, the 6-foot-5, 325lb machine is making the move from the interior, to protecting the outside as a right tackle, something he hasn't consistently done since high school.

Green will be sure to keep up the hard work hes put in this offseason, in an effort to accumulate more wins as a program, and more accolades like this one. The Lee's Summit native was actually a popular choice for preseason All-American watch, according to numerous polls.

Meanwhile, senior Kevin Coleman Jr., who's looking to fill the hole of now Chicago Bear Luther Burden III. The wide reciever has had quite the career thus far, and has himself set up nicely as the Tigers projected starting slot reciever.

Coleman began his career on Jackson State in 2022, where he caught 33 balls for over 500 yards and three scores, good enough to take home the SWAC Conference Freshman of the Year award.

As a sophomore he played for Louisville, and took a step back before heading to Mississippi State the next year, which would be his third team in three years, where he would notch just under 1000 yards, to pair along with 6 touchdowns.

Coleman then transferred again, taking his talents across the SEC to his hometown team, with Eli Drinkwitz and the Tigers. Now, after a career year with the Bulldogs, the former No. 1 ranked reciever in Missouri will look to bolster his draft stock with Mizzou.

He has a real solid chance to be the primary pass catcher for this Tiger offense, and has also been seen returning punts, extremely similar vibes to Burden, giving fans a fun and exciting player to root for this coming season, and a no-doubt selection for this list.

Finally, fifth year senior Jalen Catalon, who has also been on a number of programs, took the final safety spot on the All-SEC Third Team Defense.

The former high school three-sport athlete dominated especially in football. He was named an All-Area Defensive Player of the Year as a junior in high school after totaling over 100 tackles, and adding 6 interceptions and multiple forced fumbles.

He began his colleigate career in the SEC, at Arkansas. However, after appearing in just four games, he decided to redshirt his freshman year. His sophomore campaign was more memorable, as he started, made 100 tackles, had three interceptions, and 2 forced fumbles, making his initial appearance on the first team All-SEC Team, and being named a freshman All-American.

Following that incredible season, Catalon put his name into the transfer portal, and made his way to Texas, before heading to UNLV the next season.

After two decent campaigns, he decided to stay in the NCAA, but this time as a member of Mizzou, his third SEC Conference teams in just four seasons.

Catalon has some injury history but has made it more than clear: when hes healthy, he's one of the best in the nation, and hes ready to back that up this season, and it seems like coaches around the conference are expecting him to.

This Mizzou team is full of major impact players, far more than just the ones mentioned here, and the entire squad is ready to make something huge happen in 2025.

Coach Drinkwitz is sure to tip his hat to these three, while also encouarging the rest to keep at what they've been up to this offseason, as college football starts back up in just over a week.
