Mizzou-Notre Dame Recap
Remember how I said the Mizzou-Notre Dame basketball game would be a close one that went right down to the wire?
I was wrong. Oh so wrong.
Mizzou took the Irish to town, winning 87-58.
It really was never much of a contest. The Tigers scored first, and Notre Dame never had the lead during the game, only tying it up three times, the latest being 9-9. Denmon led the way for Mizzou, scoring 26 points on 9-11 shooting.
What truly sealed the game for the Tigers was a 16-2 run that spanned halftime. Kim English started the run with a three-pointer, then Phil Pressey converted a three-point play.
“We played great tonight,” coach Frank Haith said. “It’s just one game, but we played very well.”
