C.J. Roberts is committed to Missouri
For the month of March, and now entering April, Missouri finds itself rife with recruits. Some have made their decision to commit, already.
To date, the Tigers have received commitments from a variety of athletes, most notably Michael Porter, Jr. On April 8th, the Tigers will be visited by the No. 7 basketball recruit in the nation, Kevin Knox.
Earlier today, Mizzou fans were excited to learn that C.J. Roberts, who had previously signed his letter of intent to play for Missouri, reaffirmed his commitment to the Tigers.

The four-star point guard from Texas adds more talent to a Tigers basketball team with NCAA championship aspirations for the 2017 season. How far the Tigers go remains to be seen, but the limit to their goals is certainly greater than the ceiling.
The fact that Missouri received a commitment from arguably the most talented athlete in college basketball does not hurt its chances of landing a few more big-name recruits, simply due to the amount of exposure to NBA scouts that Mizzou will experience.
According to Rock M Nation, Roberts stated, “With Mike (Porter, Jr.) being there and every NBA scout in the league coming through there to see him, since he’s the No. 1 pro prospect in the country, they can’t help but see me too.”
The fact that Missouri will gain such exposure, I can’t help but believe that this will be a long-term turning point for the program. Many highly touted athletes are giving Mizzou at least a double-take and possibly a visit, before deciding on their final commitment.
For now, the Tigers at least have C.J. Roberts and No. 1 recruit Michael Porter, Jr. joining the team in 2017. Waiting in the wings is No. 7 prospect, Kevin Knox.
