Coming off a series win against nationally ranked Alabama, the softball team took one-of-three from the No. 25 Arkansas Razorbacks, while tennis dropped contests to Tennessee and Georgia, and track and field competed in Tuscaloosa.

Softball has had a tough season. But they picked up another win against a nationally ranked opponent as they defeated the Hogs 1-0 in the season opener. The lone run came across as Gabby Garrison scored on a pass ball in the third inning. Cheyenne Baxter pitched a complete game shutout, as she allowed just four hits.

Over the next two days, the Tigers fell 6-5 and 4-2, to drop their overall record to 21-16. They will resume action next Tuesday, as they play a doubleheader against Western Illinois at Taylor Stadium, before heading to Auburn for a weekend series against the No. 5 team in the nation.
