Mizzou News: One Tiger selected in the first-round of NFL Draft
Former Missouri Tigers defensive end Charles Harris had an eventful evening during the first round of Thursday night’s NFL Draft. Here are some other headlines making news for Mizzou.
Baseball is back in action this afternoon, as the Tigers get set to play a double-header against Texas A&M at 3:00 PM.
Missouri, which has lost six of its last eight, will host the Aggies for the first time since 2011. Texas A&M, which enters this series leading the Tigers 47-35, will try to add on to their winning record.

Hopefully Missouri can rebound from its losing streak and take the series over Texas A&M. In 2011, the Tigers took the series against the Aggies.
Next, we travel from the diamond to the green, as Missouri Women’s Golf sends Jessica Yuen to the NCAA Regionals. If golf isn’t your thing, then jump a couple paragraphs ahead.
In two weeks, Yuen will compete for a spot in the NCAA championships. She had her best performance, last weekend at the SEC Championships.
Traveling back to the diamond, Missouri softball looks to wind-up the latter portion of its schedule on a high note. Mizzou travels to Baton Rouge, to take on the ‘Bayou Bengals’ of LSU. First pitch is this evening at 6:00 PM.
Checking in at Faurot, the wide receivers believe that they have found a way to be more consistent in 2017, which will be huge as Mizzou prepares to win and become bowl eligible.
Returning to the NFL Draft, Missouri Tigers linebacker, Michael Scherer, who is recovering from an ACL tear suffered during the 2016 season, is making a run to be drafted into the NFL.
Some might doubt the likeliness that Scherer will be drafted by an NFL team – an ACL tear is a tremendous injury to recover from. May I refer any counters to Carolina Panthers linebacker, Thomas Davis, who recovered from three ACL tears.
