Monday brought huge news for Missouri, with the signing of four-star center Jeremiah Tilmon. With Tilmon’s signing, Jakoby Kemp opted to leave Mizzou.

Now that Jeremiah Tilmon is in the fold for Missouri, the next question to ask is, what does he add to the team? He is a traditional center, which is more difficult to come by anymore, and he’s a quiet guy, as we’ve all learned during his recruiting process. Here’s a little more on Tilmon.

"He’s a big and I don’t want to call him totally raw, but a somewhat raw big man that you can mold. He’s got good athleticism, good instincts for blocking shots and getting rebounds. The big thing with him will be to get that motor going all the time and what he can do once he gets in a college weight lifting program.More from Truman's TalesBelieve it or not, Missouri football has never played these FBS teamsMissouri Tigers all-time round-by-round NCAA tournament recordMarch Madness schedule: When do the Missouri Tigers play next? Monday’s signing of Tilmon means that Missouri is a legitimate contender for a championship run in 2017.

It also means that if Jontay Porter re-classifies to play for the Tigers in 2017, then Missouri fields a top-5 recruiting class.

With the signing of Tilmon, Missouri has the sixth-ranked recruiting class in 2017, which started at 23rd after signing Michael Porter, Jr.

Baseball season is winding down, but the Tigers still have a few more regular season contests to go.

Tomorrow afternoon Missouri hosts Eastern Kentucky, in what should be a win for the Tigers.

Not to be outdone, Missouri softball has continues its post-season streak. The Tigers enter their 11th postseason, as they travel to Oregon for the NCAA Regionals.

Missouri has qualified for the Super Regionals eight-of-ten years during coach Ehren Earleywine’s career at Mizzou.
