Missouri Football: QB Drew Lock leads the best offense in the SEC East
Missouri football has the best offense in the SEC East, and it’s all credit to the fact that Mizzou has talented veteran leadership at every position, as well as an offensive line that is loaded with depth and experience.
While many teams in the SEC lost key players, Missouri kept the core of its offense intact – a luxury not given teams every year. That lends credence to Mizzou fielding the best offense in 2017.
While the Tigers tout the division’s best offense, how might those futures affect head coach Barry Odom’s approval rating? During the offseason, Odom landed a three star quarterback from Alabama, James Foster. The same Foster who had previously committed to play at Alabama.
Former basketball coaching legend Norm Stewart’s statue is probably entering production at this point; basketball signee, Jeremiah Tilmon, joins a unique class of Tigers; pitcher Tanner Houck is an Ace in the making; awards all around, and Tiger Tales make-up Dave Matter’s ‘Five for Friday.’

The long overdue recognition of the former coach will finally have a home in Columbia, as well.
Missouri track is sending 26 to the NCAA West Preliminary Championships, which takes place next weekend, in Austin, Tex. The track program experienced a boon in success this season.
Michael Porter, Jr.’s signing to play for Missouri was a major step in the Tigers’ recent boon in landing other 4-star recruits. However, the future of the Tigers’ rebuild relies on more than the No. 1 overall recruit.
"The first thing we do is we don’t say, ‘OK, let’s go out and try to find a one-and-done guy. We go out and find the best players that fit what we’re trying to do. … If a guy is a part of our program, whether he’s a walk-on status or the leading scorer on the team, they’re all the same to me."
Finally, this is for anyone who takes an interest in which recruiting classes are the most important to the 2017 Missouri Tigers. The breakdown covers football, but similar principles could be substituted for basketball, as well.
