After the NFL re-evaluated its rules on celebrations after scoring a touchdown, former Missouri Tiger, Shane Ray, welcomes the rule change.

It seemed like the resurgence of post-touchdown end zone celebrations were doomed to stay a thing of the past, until this offseason, when the NFL decided that it would allow players to celebrate their hard work on the field.

While some celebratory selections are still banned, the typical celebrations that we all grew up loving, have returned.

For one former Missouri player, this means he now has a chance to showcase his athletic abilities, in the form of backflips. Ray recently showed-off his dancing abilities to The Players’ Tribune.

Some of the most memorable touchdown celebrations came from wide receivers Terrell Owens and Chad

Johnson

Ochocinco – whatever his name is now.

You may remember, the infamous “Sharpie” celebration performed by Owens, or the Hall of Fame jacket donned by Ochocinco.

For the most part, fans love the touchdown celebrations. For the players, it’s an earned opportunity to have a little fun celebrating their success.
