Drew Lock’s first full season as Missouri’s starting quarterback was nothing to sneeze at. There were times where I was left wondering how he managed to throw an interception, but there were also times I cringed and maybe closed my eyes, only to see him connect on a long bomb.

When former quarterback Maty Mauk was eventually dismissed from the team, I was excited to see Lock take over the offense. As with anyone who is pressed into a starting job, there were growing pains.

At the end of his first full season as a starter, Lock totaled 3,399 yards passing and 23 touchdowns, bringing his career total to 4,731 yards and 27 touchdowns.

Entering his junior season, Lock has another year of experience in offensive coordinator Josh Huepel’s system.

Lock was adamant throughout the spring semester that he will focus on his timing and other nuances of the offense to take his game to the next level.

Lock will also be a key player in Mizzou’s aspirations to challenge for the division and play for a bowl bid.
