Tight end Jason Reese produced similarly to Blanton in 2016. Again, 97 yards receiving isn’t tremendous output, but it still lends credence to Missouri playing to its strengths.

Once again, if Huepel can include more tight end sets into his game plan, we could see an uptick of production from the position.

However, the tight ends will rely on Drew Lock improving his consistency in accurately targeting his receivers.

It will also be interesting to see how second year tight end Brendan Scales fares out of his redshirt year. Scales was rated the 16th best tight end in the nation – No. 2 in Missouri as a recruit in 2015.
