Mizzou football started two new faces on the offensive line in last week’s win.

The Mizzou football depth chart hasn’t changed much over the past month, but ahead of its first conference matchup of the season, the Tigers might go with the offensive line we saw last week.

Mizzou started Case Cook at left guard and Bobby Lawrence at right tackle in last week’s 50-0 win over SEMO. The moves weren’t a big surprise as the Tigers were playing an FCS team they expected to dominate, and did. But moving on to Week 4, in an important opening-conference game, the Tigers may stick with those two faces.

In the depth chart released Tuesday, the Tigers listed their starting left guard as Case Cook -OR- Larry Borom while the right tackle spot is Bobby Lawrence -OR- Hyrin White.

Cook made his first career start at left guard in the win while Lawrence also made his first career start. Both must have made solid impressions on the coaching staff as this is the first time they have moved up to the No. 1 spot.

Lawrence is a large body, listed a 6-foot-8, 300 pounds. The redshirt freshman logged his most snaps ever in a Tigers uniform with 43. White subbed in and played almost equal to Lawrence’s minutes with 36 snaps.

Cook, a redshirt sophomore, is more of a familiar name, having played in eight games last year in a reserve role. He battled with Borom throughout the spring and summer for the starting guard spot, where Borom beat him out. Now, the two appear as even as ever.

The Mizzou offense moved up and down the field in last week’s win over SEMO. The film gave coaches somewhat of a chance to study the four young players, but against a lower-level opponent than the SEC will provide. A lot of this has to be how the guys are practicing. Still, the starting nods could go back to Borom and White as they are not outright backups.

Freshman defensive end Isaiah McGuire is listed as a co-backup along with Franklin Agabsimere to Chris Turner. Agabsimere registered his first career sack in last week’s win.

Safeties Khalil Oliver and Ronnell Perkins still are listed as co-starters and so are receivers Jalen Knox and Kam Scott. Dominic Gicinto and Barrett Banister still are co-reserves to WR Johnathon Johnson.
