The Missouri offense has completely rebounded from their turnover plagued opener, scoring 88 points over the past two weeks.

The Redhawks didn’t stand a chance. Week by week, Missouri has been working to clean up its mistakes from a rough season opener.

SEMO fell victim to a Tiger offense that is now clicking on all cylinders.

Bringing in Kelly Bryant, Mizzou wasn’t expecting to defeat opponents with an elite aerial attack. However, their ground game was one to be feared coming into the season.

Yet, Missouri may be elite in both.

One week after tossing three touchdowns against West Virginia, Bryant completed 15 of 20 passes and racked up 225 yards and another touchdown. His season totals are now six touchdowns to two interceptions, 798 yards, and 63 completed passes on 93 attempts. This calculates into a 156.8 rating.

The deep receiving corp has excelled as a result. Jonathan Johnson leads the team with 12 catches, but he only has 97 yards. Meanwhile, Jalen Knox has nine catches for 192 yards. Albert Okwuegbunam has three touchdowns on top of his 138 yards.

Jonathan Nance has contributed 84 yards and two touchdowns and Tyler Badie has caught 11 passes out of the backfield.

Bryant has shared the love on offense and has surprised many with his arm so far.

However, the dual-threat quarterback only has 26 rushing yards on 24 attempts.

Thats where Larry Rountree III and Tyler Badie come in. Rountree, coming in to the season as one of the SEC’s premier backs, has racked up 287 yards and four touchdowns in three games this year. Badie has added another 197 yards and two touchdowns.

Even third string running back Dawson Downing is averaging 4.9 yards per carry.

Much credit must be given to the offensive line, as they have been opening holes for these backs. As a team, Missouri is averaging over 4.5 yards per carry.

The Tigers average 201 rushing yards per game while their opponents only average 218 total yards.

Yes, some of this can be attributed to the schedule, but it does feel like the offense may truly be catching fire.
