Kickoff forecast — Fair, 20 degrees; winds West 3 to 8 mph.

Tennessee game plan — Part of Tennessee’s game plan is to remain quiet about its starting quarterback. Head coach Jeremy Pruitt already announced he knows who the starter will be, but he is not saying. That quarterback is going to try to throw deep against a tough Missouri secondary.

On defense, the the Volunteers can put pressure on the quarterback. Tennessee has 25 sacks on the season, which is third in the SEC. Mizzou is going to want to get the ball out quick or use its rushing attack to slow down Tennessee.

Missouri game plan — The Tigers are sending off several seniors who will be playing their final game at Faurot Field. This particular group of players knows what it’s like to thump Tennessee, beating the Volunteers 50-17 in each of the past two years. This could be a defensive game, so it would be nice to see the Tigers control the clock.

On defense, Mizzou’s top secondary meets a team that can stretch the football field. Tennessee also can run when it wants to, so the Tigers will have their hands full. But the Volunteers can get sloppy at times, and the Tigers need to be opportunistic and try to get the ball back to the offense whenever it can.
