Duds vs Florida

Dud #1 Mario McKinney Jr.

He didn’t play, as just before Saturday’s game, the team announced McKinney was suspended indefinitely.

Dud #2: Tray Jackson

This isn’t entirely on Jackson, but he only played four minutes after a promising game against Tennessee. He didn’t see much action and had one point and one turnover.

While it may be more on Cuonzo Martin for not playing him, it was disappointing to see him not play much after his 11-point outburst against the Volunteers

Dud #3: Xavier Pinson

Did Xavier Pinson play a bad game? No. Was he fantastic off the bench? Yes. Is it hard to pick Duds for this game? Absolutely.

Pinson was great off the bench for the Tigers offensively but he was getting stuck on screens on the other end and found himself and foul trouble. He makes the duds list because he could’ve had a huge game, but fouls led him to only playing 11 minutes against the Gators.

His shot selection and overall decision-making could improve, but his main area of concern is on defense. Pinson is light and gets stuck on screens leading to mismatches and/or easy baskets. His passing and slashing are still great though (Did you see that transition dunk?!?!?!?).
