Missouri basketball returns home in SEC play to battle Georgia.

The Missouri basketball team should be favored to win this one, and hopefully the Tigers take advantage of it.

Mizzou is on a four-game losing streak and a win Tuesday night would bring the team to a .500 record through 20 games. The Tigers host Georgia, a beatable opponent who has the same conference record after six games, but that doesn’t necessarily scream an easy win for Mizzou. The Tigers have struggled over the past couple of weeks but can get back in the win column here.

Other conference games Tuesday: Texas A&M at Tennessee; Mississippi State at Florida; No. 17 Auburn at Ole Miss.

Mizzou broke up its SEC schedule with a game in the Big 12/SEC Challenge on Saturday, in which the conferences split the 10 games played. Georgia was not one of the team involved. Instead, the Bulldogs played Ole Miss, and lost 70-60.

Georgia is led by Anthony Edwards, who averages a team-high 18.6 points per game. That is second in the SEC to Ole Miss’ Breein Tyree, who averages 18.9. Helping Edwards on the floor is forward Rayshaun Hammonds, who is second on the team in points with 13.4 a game. He is tied for fifth in the conference with 8.1 rebounds per contest. The guard-forward combo hopes to give the Bulldogs the victory on the road as Mizzou looks for its first win since a victory over Florida more than two weeks ago.

Next up: Missouri goes back on the road to play South Carolina on Saturday.
