The Missouri basketball team is 4-0 in the Rally for Rhyan game.

Missouri basketball has a game coming up that is sure to pack Mizzou Arena.

The Tigers will host their fifth Rally for Rhyan game on Saturday, Feb. 8, against Arkansas. Mizzou announced the date of the game last week, and on Wednesday, the Tigers sent out a message with the help from Rhyan Loos.

Missouri basketball is 4-0 in such games. The team always gets up for this one, and much of the games have brought the biggest highlights over the years.

More from Truman's Tales

The Tigers defeated Tennessee in the inaugural contest 75-64 on Feb. 13, 2016. The win broke up a nine-game losing streak that season for Mizzou.

In the second matchup, the Tigers defeated Arkansas 83-78. That game put to a halt what was a 13-game losing streak for Mizzou. But the Tigers knocked off the eventual NCAA Tournament team with an inspired effort to grab their first conference win that year.

The third annual game came against Mississippi State in a matchup where both teams were trying to claim a late-season victory to add to its tournament resume. Missouri would win the game in overtime 89-85 after a 3-point shot from Kevin Puryear with 10 seconds left gave the Tigers the win.

Last year, Mizzou downed Vanderbilt 77-67 to win the fourth-consecutive event.

Rhyan was diagnosed with Stage 4 Neuroblastoma in 2015 when she was five years old. She is the daughter of former assistant men’s coach and current Mizzou Major Gifts fundraiser Brad Loos. Rhyan has since beaten the cancer, but the fight still lives on at Mizzou Arena. It is one of the best games of the year, and the game against the Razorbacks should be another good one.

The game against Arkansas is set for 2:30 p.m.
