Former Missouri women’s basketball head coach Cindy Stein announces her retirement

Current SIUC head coach Cindy Stein announced she is retiring after the 2021-2022 season.

Stein was a twelve year head coach for Missouri from 1998-2010.

She led the Tigers to four WNIT appearances including two first round berths, a quarterfinal and a Sweet 16, and two NCAA tournament appearances including a Sweet 16.

To date, Stein has lead the Salukis to one WNIT appearance, in 2016.

Last season, Stein returned to Columbia when the Missouri defeated the Salukis 79-43.
