Summer of Swat: Missouri baseball players look to end the season strong
By Kyle Jones
Torin Montgomery-Healdsburg Prune Packers
A strong week for Montgomery as he grabbed 5 hits, including a triple and a home run. His clutch hitting gave him 8 RBIs.
More of this please.
The Packers have been far-and-away the best team in the CCL this year, with an astonishing 31-4 record
Spencer Miles-Wareham Gatemen
No action from Miles over the past week, but he still leads Wareham in strikeouts with 24.
Luke Mann-Hyannis Harbor Hawks
Mann has had an active week, grabbing 10 hits including 3 home runs. That performance was good enough for 14 RBIs. He also pitched 1.2 innings, grabbing 2 strikeouts.
Mann’s success at the plate is exactly the type of thing Tiger fans want to see at this time of year.
Jacob Kush-Holly Springs Salamanders
No action from Kush last week, though he still sits in second place on the team leaderboard for strikeouts with 29.
Ty Wilmsmeyer-High Point-Thomasville HiToms
No action last week from Wilmsmeyer either, though the HiToms are 6-4 in their last 10 games.
