Summer of Swat: How are Missouri baseball players doing as July ends?
By Kyle Jones
Torin Montgomery-Healdsburg Prune Packers
After going hitless last Thursday against Farf, Montgomery responded by going on a huge multi-hit streak. In 5 games, Montgomery raked 13 hits including 3 doubles, a triple and a home run.
Not much else to say. It’s hard to get much better than that, and if Montgomery can keep this up it will pay dividends down the road.
Spencer Miles-Wareham Gatemen
No action in the last week from Miles. Wareham sit second-to-last in the West Division
Luke Mann-Hyannis Harbor Hawks
Mann had a solid week, with 8 hits in 17 at-bats. He drove in 6 RBIs, with 3 doubles and a home run.
Overall, Mann should be happy with the work he put in this week, even though Hyannis only won 3 out of the 6 games they played. His consistency at the plate is an asset both in the CCL and in the SEC.
