Missouri Tigers Athletics quick hits: 10/5/2022

Tigers football: Star wide receiver, Dominic Lovett is said to be listed at 50/50 by Coach, Eli Drikwitz.His absence would surely be a big blow against Florida if he is unable to go. Lovett leads the SEC in receiving yards with 460. Which is 95 more receiving yards than second place, Tayvion Robinson from Kentucky.

Tigers baseball: The SEC announced the 2023 baseball schedule. With Fall Ball in full swing, the Tigers will look to hone their skills and improve year-over-year. 2022 was a rough one with the Tigers finishing 10-20 in the SEC conference. Mizzou will start the 2023 conference season against Tennessee, in March of 2023.

Tigers football: ‘Mizzou For the Lou’ launched earlier this week, with the announcement of the first of many events expected over the next few years. Announcing the Memphis Tigers and Missouri Tigers facing off in September 2023 at the Dome At America’s Center in St. Louis, MO.

Tigers basketball: 4-star recruit, Jordan Butler, the 6’10 Center from Greenville, South Carolina will announce his college destination tomorrow. He will do so live on Instagram with recruiting expert, Joe Tipton. The three finalists left in contention are the South Carolina Gamecocks, Auburn Tigers, and of course, the Missouri Tigers. Tigers softball: With Fall Ball officially under way, the SEC has released the 2023 conference schedule. The Tigers will start conference play in March against the Kentucky Wildcats. The Tigers finished the 2022 season 38-22, while going 12-11 in the SEC conference.

Tigers volleyball: The volleyball team had a rough run in South Carolina. The Tigers are now even at 7-7 on the season, yet 0-4 in the conference. They will be given another chance to pick up a win in the conference as they next travel to Alabama on October 12th. A full week off may be what it takes to rejuvenate the Tigers.
