Believe it or not, Missouri football has never played these FBS teams

Missouri football has never played these MAC schools
The current twelve-team structure of the MAC has not changed in some time, with these same schools making up this league for over a decade. Over the course of their history, Missouri has played most of these teams but has never had three of them on the schedule.
MAC teams are semi-regular opponents on Missouri’s schedule. The Tigers have never lost to eight of the nine teams they’ve played in this league, with the most recent regular season wins over Central Michigan (2021), Eastern Michigan (2016), and Toledo (2014).
However, they’ve never faced Akron, Kent State, or Northern Illinois. Missouri has never played a current MAC team in a bowl game, but also haven’t found a place for any of these three programs on their regular season schedule.
Akron has had their struggles in recent years, but Kent State and Northern Illinois both had periods of success. Northern Illinois actually played Florida State in the 2012 Orange Bowl. They’ll also leave this list because they are scheduled to play the Tigers for the first time in 2028. Perhaps the other two will find their way into the schedule someday.
