Mizzou’s right-side hitter Jordan Iliff and setter Marina Crownover earned SEC Player of the Week honors following a dominant 3-win week, which included sweeps of Southeast Missouri State and Alabama, along with a 3-2 victory over Tennessee.
Crownover, a redshirt sophomore, earned SEC Setter of the Week honors, while her teammate Iliff was named both SEC Player of the Week and SEC Offensive Player of the Week.
Iliff earned the honors after leading the Mizzou offense in kills across all three games and recording a double-double with 21 kills and 21 digs against Tennessee. She powered the Tigers to victory with 52 kills on a .438 hitting percentage over the week. During her 17-kill performance against SEMO, she also achieved the 1,000th kill of her career.
Her 21 digs against Tennessee marked a career high, as she added nine service aces to extend her already commanding lead in the SEC, outpacing the next closest player by nearly 20 aces.
Crownover earned her award after a standout week as Mizzou’s setter, racking up 130 assists across three matches—an average of nearly 45 per game and over 11 per set. The Texas transfer also notched her fourth double-double of the season against SEMO, tallying 30 assists and 10 digs.
She helped guide the team to a .370 hitting percentage throughout the week with her precise setting, earning SEC honors for just the second time in her career.
The duo will be back in action on Sunday against Mississippi State at the Hearnes Center, with the match set for 2 p.m.
