After Week 1 against Central Arkansas, Beau Pribula is now the starting quarterback for the Missouri Tigers. Some of that is due to the injury to Sam Horn as well, but Pribula still made the most of his opportunity. Against Central Arkansas, Pribula went 23-for-28 with 283 yards and two passing touchdowns as well as 65 rushing yards and two rushing touchdowns.
Now, Missouri faces a tougher opponent this week as the Border War rivalry returns, as the Tigers will take on the Kansas Jayhawks. With the SEC Network at this matchup, legendary quarterback Tim Tebow said he "Beau-lieves" in Pribula and Missouri.
"I really do Beau-lieve in Beau,” Tebow said to a multitude of Missouri fans on SEC Nation. “Not just as a runner, he ain’t just a wildcat quarterback. He can throw with anticipation, he can throw with accuracy, and he can make plays from the pocket."

That is some very high praise from one of the best college football quarterbacks to ever play the game. Pribula certainly showed out in his first week with the Tigers, but now he has to do it against a higher-level opponent.
If Pribula can put up numbers like he did last week against a good Jayhawk defense, then he could vault himself into the Heisman conversation, or at least as one of the best quarterbacks in the SEC. Pribula just might be the key to Missouri taking the Tigers far this season and maybe into the College Football Playoff.
Eli Drinkwitz was planning on a quarterback battle this season, but depending on how long Horn is out and Pribula's performance today, he could win the job for the season, and Tebow seems to be behind that.
Missouri and Kansas kick off at 2:30 p.m. CT in what will be a very heated matchup.
