The ESPN College Gameday crew has some high praise for the Border War this morning when making their game picks between Kansas and Missouri. Everyone said this matchup truly doesn't get the love it deserves as one of the oldest rivalries, and honestly, one of the most hated, as these two teams truly have a deep hatred for each other.
When it came to game picks, the desk was nearly split, but what Nick Saban said about the Tigers is something fans should be ecstatic about. The legendary college football coach had high praise for Missouri, even stating that he believes this team is a sleeper in the SEC.
Missouri has had really good success over the last few seasons under head coach Eli Drinkwitz, and Saban believes they will see that same success this season. He believes quarterback Beau Pribula is an absolute stud and is exactly what this Missouri offense has needed.
ESPN College Gameday crew nearly splits game picks for the Border War
With only five guys making the picks on ESPN College Gameday, the crew can not exactly split their picks, but it was as split as it could be. Missouri got three picks while Kansas got two. Apparently, Desmond Howard and Pat McAfee don't believe Missouri will pull off the win and have more faith in Jalon Daniels than in Pribula.
Saban, of course, picked the Tigers, and guest picker Trey Young, former Oklahoma basketball star, stuck with the SEC and took the Tigers. Granted, Yougn simply couldn't pick the Jahawks after the number of times he had to battle them when the Sooners were still in the Big 12.
Finally, Kirk Herbstreit agreed with Saban and believes with Missouri team is for real and will be able to win this heated rivalry today and extend that series record lead they narrowly hold.
