Dennis Gates is in his second year at Missouri and this season has not been his best, but it also hasn't been the worst in Missouri basketball history. Here are some coaches that hold that title.

3. player. 531. 33-31 overall record. Dennis Gates. Missouri Tigers MBB. . 2022-present. Dennis Gates.

I will say this again, Dennis Gates is a pending member of this list. He had a solid first season with the Tigers going 25-10, 11-7 in the SEC with an NCAA Tournament appearance into the second round. It seemed as though Mizzou found their guy. Then you look at this season and wonder what happened.

Here is a breakdown of Gates' time with the Tigers.

2022-2023: 25-10, 11-7 SEC
2023-2024: 8-21, 0-16 SEC

Mizzou has one more chance to win an SEC game this season, but if not, the Tigers will go winless in conference play for the first time since the 1907-1908 season. Gates will need to make a serious change next year if he wants to come off this list because things are not looking good right now.
