Darius Robinson and seven other Missouri Tigers invited to the 2024 NFL Combine
Missouri football fans have a good reason to watch this year's NFL Scouting Combine. Eight former Tigers received invitations to showcase their talents to NFL teams and prove that they have what it takes to play in the pro league.
Four of the eight players had the ability to showcase their talents at the Senior Bowl a few weeks ago in Mobile, Alabama. The Combine will just help them improve thier resume going forward. Here are the eight players that received invites to the Combine
- DL Darius Robinson
- RB Cody Schrader
- OL Javon Foster
- LB Ty'ron Hopper
- DB Ennis Rakestraw Jr.
- DB Kris Abrams-Draine
- DB Jaylon Carlies
- K Harrison Mevis
The NFL Scouting Combine is a time that players can either elevate their draft position or reveal they might not be quite as good as everyone thought. The Combine is held at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana. The players will participate in physical, mental, and medical tests throughout the multi-day event. Fans can watch the Combine on NFL Network from February 26 to March 4.
Darius Robinson is the top Tiger Missouri fans should keep an eye on, especially after his performance in the Senior Bowl. Robinson did himself a lot of favors in Senior bowl practices, helping raise his draft stock in April. Before the Senior Bowl, Robinson was most likely a second-round pick with the possibility of falling to the third round, but now he is being seen as a first-round pick.
Ennis Rakestraw Jr. is the other projected first-round pick in the 2024 NFL Draft. Rakestraw Jr. is rated as one of the top cornerbacks in the draft. Even thought Rakestraw did not participate in the Senior Bowl, he will have the ability to showcase his talents on a bigger stage at the NFL Combine.
Running back Cody Schrader, offensive lineman Javon Foster, and defensive back Kris Abrams-Draine all competed in the Senior Bowl with Robinson. None of these players did anything to hurt their draft stock but also didn't necessarily do as much as Robinson did.
Players such as Hopper, Mevis, and Carlies will have the opportunity to showcase their talents both at Missouri's pro day and at the Combine coming up later this month.
