Missouri football just landed the biggest commitment of their 2025 class. Four-star quarterback Matt Zollers out of Pennsylvania announced he made his decision of where he wants to continue his collegiate career.
After careful consideration, Zollers decided he wanted to wear the Balck and Gold in college under head coach Eli Drinkwitz. Zollers chose Mizzou over other power programs such as Georgia and in-state programs such as Penn State and Pittsburgh.
Zollers is currently rated a four-star quarterback ranked the No. 46 overall prospect and No. 5 QB in the 2025 class and is also a top-ranked player in the state of Pennsylvania. He stated his decision was tough, but ultimately his ties to Missouri were greater than any other program.
This marks Drinkwitz's first commitment for the 2025 class as the Tiger's head coach made a big push to land the top-rated quarterback. The 6-foot-3 Pennsylvania native made the visit to Columbia in late March and it was because of the relationship he built with the coaching staff that helped him choose the Tigers.
The Tiger's current quarterback Brady Cook will be a senior this season so a QB is needed for the future. Eli Drinkwitz showed this past season that he can lead this team to a winning season and make a push for the Playoff, especially with the expansion this next season.
Zollers has not officially signed with the Tigers yet, so he could still flip his commitment in the future. All eyes will be on Zollers on his National Signing Day and Mizzou fans might not breathe until then.
