The Missouri softball team moved up two spots in the ranking this week going from No. 15 to No. 13. The team has started strong going 10-0 in its two weeks of play.

The Tigers started the season in the NFCA Division I Leadoff Classic in Clearwater, Florida winning a 4-3 thriller in game one against then No. 13 ranked Utah. Later that day, the Tigers run-ruled NC State beating the Wolfpack 13-0 in five innings. They capped off thier perfect weekend with a convincing 4-1 win over the No. 5 ranked Clemson.

Missouri then traveled to Denton, Texas to play in the Tracy Beard Classic where they won every game they played in, giving up just seven runs in five games, which included two shutouts. The Tigers have yet to play a game in the state of Missouri let alone their home stadium.

The team gets little time to rest as they are heading out west to California to compete in the Mary Nutter Classic. There the Tigers are set to take on three Power Five teams, one being No. 22 Baylor, their last game of the tournament.

The Tigers will play five games over the span of three days. They start their long weekend against San Diego State on Thursday at 7:00 p.m. CT and will have a quick turnaround as they are set to finish the night against Wisconsin at 9:30 p.m. CT.

Day two will begin late yet again as the Tigers will take on UCF at 7:30 p.m. CT followed by California State Fullteron at 10:00 p.m. CT. Missouri will have 24 hours to rest before their ranked matchup against Np. 22 Baylor at 10:00 p.m. CT.
