On Monday, August 12th, it was announced that former University of Missouri wrestler Jarrett Jacques will join the Tiger Style staff as a recruiting coordinator. A native of Columbia, Missouri, he spent five seasons wrestling for the Tigers from 2018 to 2023.

Missouri Wrestling Head Coach Brian Smith, who has led the program since 1998 and is entering his 27th year, had nothing but positive things to say about the new hire.

"He cares about the program and brings great energy and wrestling knowledge to the mats every day. Pairing those qualities with his determination to grow and get better will add to Tiger Style."

Jacques will be joining the coaching staff in a part-time role, assisting with recruitment operations. After graduating in 2023, he began competing in international competitions. Wrestling at 74 kg, he placed fourth at the 2024 Olympic Trials, earning himself a spot on the U.S. National Team.

During his time at Missouri, Jacques built an impressive resumé, competing at 157 pounds throughout his college career. He joined the prestigious "100-win club," finishing with 102 total victories. Over five seasons, Jacques was a five-time NCAA qualifier and a five-time NWCA Scholar All-American.

Throughout his career at Missouri, Jacques faced many ups and downs, but he always brought tremendous value to the team and continued to grow each year. He embodied the "Tiger Style", which helped him develop and improve as a wrestler during his time in college.

"I loved being part of Tiger Style as a wrestler and I'm grateful for the opportunity to help them continue their winning ways as part of the staff," said Jacques. "I hope I am able to help bring even more success to this amazing program."
