Missouri Tigers will take over SEC Network on Saturday
On Saturday, the SEC Network will go black and gold, as the Missouri Tigers take over the station for the day. The lineup of events begins tonight at 11:00.
Even though football season is right around the corner, I think it’s safe to say that we are ready to see a little action from our Missouri Tigers, even if it’s reliving the glory days.
At 11:00 tonight, the festivities begin with “Show Me Mizzou Moments,” then at 11:30, “Season of ’97: You Gotta Believe.”
If you’re planning to pull an “all-nighter,” then the SEC Network will give you entertainment over the next 21 hours, with programming that ranges from football and basketball, to volleyball and baseball. Mizzou Network will also offer some original content.

If 11:00 is too late for you, then no worries; SEC Network will offer tonight’s programming again on Saturday evening at 5:00 and 5:30, then at 6:00, “Mizzou, That’s Who: 2007 Mizzou Football.”
“You Gotta Believe” will take us back 20 years ago, to the 1997 season, when Missouri ended its 13-year bowl drought under former head coach Larry Smith. Keep an eye out for former linebacker-turned-head coach Barry Odom, too.
The Missourian has the full lineup.

“Mizzou, that’s Who” will take us back 10 years, to the 2007 season, when the Tigers made their first No. 1 national ranking since 1960! The program will include interviews with former quarterback Chase Daniel and other fan favorites.
If you’re seeing what I’m seeing, then maybe the 2017 season will be something special for Mizzou, as well. A third decade has arrived, since Missouri’s success on the gridiron was reignited in 1997.
Next: What does Drew Lock really have to prove?
Finally, the day closes-out with a match-up against the team that everyone loves to hate. Mizzou’s much despised neighbors to the left can avoid playing Missouri all they want, but they can’t deny the past.
