QB1: Shawn Robinson- 6’2″, 220 lbs (RS Jr.)

Robinson joined the Tigers last year and had to sit out for a season after transferring from TCU. With the Horned Frogs in 2018, he totaled 1334 yards, nine touchdowns and eight interceptions in  seven games, although two of those games he played with an injured left shoulder.

However, I would expect that he has made great strides since coming to Columbia. I do expect to see both him and Bazelak getting playing time in the first few regular season games, but I think Robinson will win the battle.

He has dual-threat capabilities; In 2018 he ran for 230 yards and three touchdowns. His passing though, may be what surprises people.

In 2019 he had a full season to work on his passing skills, his footwork, his decision making, etc. He has always had skill as a runner, but with the time he’s had to develop as a passer, he could be a very good quarterback in the SEC.

Robinson always seemed more comfortable throwing short while at TCU, but with the deep-threats the Tigers have and all of the time he’s had to study defenses, his deep balls could become a very useful weapon for Missouri.

This quarterback battle will be a fun one, but I expect to see Shawn Robinson emerge as the Tigers go-to guy.
